“When I was young, about 6 years old, since then every weekend my dad would take me to location shoots. I would hang around as he took pictures of the scenery. Eventually it hit me. One day I literally got hit in the head by his Voiglaner SLR. It was hanging from his neck as he took pictures of tiger at the zoo with his Ricoh SLR, I got bit scared of the tiger and backed into him and bam, got hit by the camera. Two days later, I disassembled the camera to see how it works. Dad was quite upset, it cost him a lot (about $200 in those days) to put it back togather, but he saw that I am taking an interst and said nothing. I was amazed how such a complicated system works with perfection to bring such amazing pictures. Slowly over the years, he patiently taught me all (almost) the tricks of photography he knew.”
